Berbere Mustard

A smooth sweet mustard heavily spiced with Yellow Deer's Berbere blend of 12 fragrant spices, including chiles, smoked paprika, coriander, fenugreek, and sumac, and balanced with lots of brown sugar and a touch of molasses.
The flavour is deep and sweet with complex spice notes that can be slightly bitter, smoky, and floral with a caramel-like finish.
250ml.
Uses: glaze on grilled lamb or ham steak. Also pairs well with cheese and your favourite sausages.
Ingredients: water, white vinegar, sugars (brown sugar, molasses), ground mustard seed, salt, spices.
Yellow Deer Mustard
We are a very small business nestled on the coast of Vancouver Island in Qualicum Beach. We pride ourselves on making fine gourmet mustards using the finest mustard seeds grown in Canada.All of our mustards are natural and free of additives, preservatives, and emulsifiers. With the exception of our honey mustard, they are all vegan. Each small batch is produced and packaged by hand with care and attention and when possible we use only Canadian ingredients.
Yellow Deer mustards are an excellent way to add flavour to your recipes (or try some of our recipes!). They are low in calories with many available vitamins and minerals.
