Enjoy a warm breakfast with brown sugar, cinnamon, and strawberries. Just add water and simmer (or microwave).
If you replace some of the water with milk as we grew up doing, you can turn it into "strawberries and cream" oatmeal!
Serves 1-2.
Ingredients: dehydrated sliced strawberries, rolled oats, brown sugar, cinnamon.
Instructions: Add contents to 1-1.5 cups of boiling water (or a blend of milk & water). Simmer for 8-10 minutes, and enjoy.

Cowichan Green Community
The Cowichan Green Community Society is a non-profit organization that has been focusing on environmental sustainability in the Cowichan Region since March 2004. CGC’s mandate is to improve food security by developing strong relationships with local food producers, increasing capacity for local food production (both urban and rural), and empowering people with the knowledge, skills and resources they need to feed their community.Their reFRESH Marketplace is a dignified and inclusive grocery store that offers affordable fresh produce, pantry staples, organic dairy products, as well as a line of homemade frozen meals, soups and desserts. It is located in the heart of Duncan in The Station building at 360 Duncan Street, and its mission is to increase access to fresh, healthy food. It operates as a Social Enterprise, which is a business within a nonprofit that provides products and services at a small cost with the goal of having a positive impact on societal health and wellbeing.
A unique aspect of shopping at the reFRESH Cowichan Marketplace is all profits funnel back into the reFRESH Cowichan Coupon Program. It is an easy way for everyone to purchase fresh, nutritious food at affordable prices while at the same time giving back to our community members who benefit from CGC programming.
