Nielsen's Honey, locally operated by Jesper Nielsen, is a small family-run business. He began keeping bees in Denmark in the mid-1990s, and continued on our return to Vancouver Island in 1998. Jesper is a certified Beekeeping Technician, having completed a comprehensive ten month course at Fairview College in Alberta.Located in the Cowichan Valley for over 20 years, Nielsen's Honey strives to provide you with the purest honey from locally placed hives which is unpasteurized and unfiltered from happy, healthy honeybees. Nielsen's Honey only sells honey that has been personally harvested from his own hives so that you can be certain it is a truly local product.
Buying local honey is vital to support local honeybee populations and pollination, as well as being a much healthier alternative to pasteurized supermarket honey.
